This tool provides a standardized template that allows each employee and their immediate supervisor to build a personalized skills improvement plan that is specific to the job being performed.

Initially, the supervisor and employee access this password secure tool together to create the employee's personalized improvement plan. Afterwards, the employee is responsible to update the plan as training and/or work experience commitments are fulfilled.

Human Resources staff must be instructed to appropriately:

• Facilitate the initial skills development planning session between the new employee and the immediate supervisor after new employee orientation is completed
• Develop and maintain the coordination of the company's internal and external training programs with the company-wide skills improvement planning process
• Monitor implementation to ensure both supervisor and employee compliance
