Interactive Employment Policies

This tool links with tool #6 New Employee Orientation. Following the orientation introduction to it, employees continue to have ongoing 24X7 online access to it.

This tool consists of pre-drafted templates of essential employment policies that are ready for you to customize where necessary to match your specific company situation.

First, work with your KEi Employee Retention Specialist to determine a best fit style, selecting from liberal, middle-of-the-road, and conservative styles. Second, make only the absolutely necessary customizations needed to fit unique aspects of your company culture. Third, decide whether your company needs interactive version #1, interactive version #2 or both interactive versions.

Human Resources staff must be instructed to appropriately:

  • Facilitate the conversion process from existing policies to employment policies that are rooted in "values for employing successfully"
  • Facilitate the style selection decision and the pre-draft customization process
  • Facilitate the integration with the new employee orientation process
  • Facilitate the handling of policy interpretation questions from employees

TOOL FEATURES

Style selection…this feature allows the administrator to view the three different styles of text for each essential policy and select the style that best matches the company culture for each separate policy.

Customizing text…this feature allows the administrator to make text adjustments that are required to accurately represent unique aspects of company culture.

Teaching version…this feature provides any employee access to an interactive exercise with each policy that helps them to evaluate situations that might occur. It teaches the implications from three different interpretations of each policy.

Real deal version…this feature provides supervisors and managers access to specific instructions for actual situations in which immediate decisions must be made and actions must be taken without delay. It is particularly helpful during second and third shift hours.
